Hi, I'm Julie. I have been a massage therapist now for almost seven years, six of which have been as part of the team at Living Well Chiropractic as their primary therapist.
I am a graduate of Alpha School of Massage. I also hold an Associate's Degree from Greenville Technical College. I am Nationally Certified by the NCTMB and a member of the ABMP. I have taken continuing education courses in subjects such as: Neuromuscular Therapy, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Sports Massage, Low Back Pain (management / prevention), Medical Massage for Repetitive Strain Injuries, Fibromyalgia, and Cervical (neck) Pain Management.
My other professional interests include Doula training classes, and although I am not a certified Doula I love attending births. I have two children of my own. One was born in the hospital and the other I labored in a tub of warm water at home, where I had the privilege of birthing my son.
During my tenure here at Living Well Chiropractic, I have had the opportunity to work alongside and learn from Dr. Jennifer Owens, whom I feel is one of a kind and at the top of her field. She has taught me how to analyze posture, perform specific muscle checks, and has helped me develop a system of massage that complements Chiropractic Bio-Physics. As of late, I have been used to assist in the Nutritional Response Testing program, performing muscle release with the goal of stimulating lymph flow. This helps to speed the treatment process, as well as alleviate patient discomfort.
I enjoy helping people, and this is why I love being a part of Living Well Chiropractic, as it affords me opportunity to assist people in their wellness journey. It also allows me the flexibility to put my family first.
